A bit about me.

I'm a software engineer based in Austin, TX. Most recently I spent four years at General Motors building internal platforms used by hundreds of people across the company; re-architecting a content optimization platform from .NET MVC to Spring Boot + Angular TypeScript and shipping an AI-driven internal chatbot on FastAPI, React, Azure, and Databricks.

Before GM I built full-stack web applications for BYU's Life Sciences IT team and interned at Smart Learning Korea in Seoul, where I shipped two Flutter apps to the Play Store and App Store. I have a B.S. in Statistics - Data Science from BYU with a minor in Business Management.

Lately I've been deep in the Gen AI space; tracking where the field is heading, implementing LLMs in application, experimenting with prompt engineering, RAG, and LangChain, and learning what it actually takes to build production-grade AI systems. I'm currently looking for AI Engineering roles where I can spend more of my time at that intersection of software engineering and applied AI.

Outside of work I tinker with side projects (a few are below), play World of Warcraft (guild raid lead of 30 people). I'm happiest working on problems to solve and thinking of how it can help the end users.

    Austin, TX

    • Re-architected a content optimization platform that predicts future vehicle trims and prices — generated roughly $3M/month in revenue impact.
    • Designed and shipped an AI-powered internal assistant, delivered ahead of schedule and now used by hundreds of employees across departments.
    • Led an effort to modernize how the team releases software, helping projects ship updates faster and with fewer incidents.

  2. Full-Stack Developer · Brigham Young University - Life Sciences IT

    Sep 2020 – Apr 2022

    Provo, UT

    • Built a scholarship application platform that streamlined the financial aid process for 200+ Life Sciences students each semester.
    • Delivered and maintained internal web applications used by faculty and staff across the Life Sciences department.

  3. Software Application Developer Intern · Smart Learning Korea

    May 2021 – Aug 2021

    Seoul, South Korea

    • Shipped two new mobile apps for teachers to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, expanding the company's product lineup.
    • Rebuilt an outdated company app from the ground up, giving users a faster, more modern experience.
    • Wrote an internal onboarding guide in Korean to help future developers ramp up faster.
